Authorities
of "Rzeszów-Jasionka" Intl. Airport Ltd. are proud to announce that
last year was another record after 2009 period in terms of number of passengers
served. At that time the Airport served 454.221 passengers, which means nearly
19-percent increase the previous year, when in Jasionka served over 383.000 travelers.
- It is the
result, which we are very happy of, because it shows how strong momentum of
growth is our passenger market - highlights Stanisław Nowak, CEO of the Airport.
He adds that over the past two years (from 18 months the Company manages the
Airport) Jasionka increased by over 40 percent in passenger traffic, which
demonstrates the upward trend despite the weak market for air carriers.
The company
manages the airport Airport "Rzeszów-Jasionka" since July 2009. At
that time, in addition to working on the development of air traffic, it began
the most important and awaited airport investments. These include the
construction of a new passenger terminal together with its infrastructure and also
a construction of new apron for aircraft along with the de-icing apron.
Together with other investments being made by the Airport (including airport
equipment purchases, expansion of the Airport Fire Station and other infrastructure
tasks), the estimated value of projects is 300 million PLN, which makes it
Jasionka airport for several months a huge construction site.

Airport currently operates the following domestic and international routes:
London (Luton and Stansted), New York (JFK and Newark - from June to
September), Barcelona (Girona), Frankfurt, Dublin, Birmingham,
Bristol, Liverpool, East Midlands and Warsaw and Gdańsk (from June to August). Routes
are operated by Ryanair, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa and Jet Air.
